In the next few months, an iconic Jersey Shore destination is about to get another exciting upgrade with the start of construction of the final phase of Pier Village. Work on the $283 million project received a green light from the City of Long Branch when the city approved a redevelopment agreement with Extell Development Company and Kushner Companies in September.

At the center of the expansion is The Lofts Pier Village, a 269-unit luxury condominium community that will offer elegance, picturesque oceanfront living, and an exceptional selection of indoor and outdoor amenities. The developers will also introduce a new boutique hotel, a fresh wave of shopping and dining, and public recreational amenities and improvements to the flourishing neighborhood.

Pier Village is located on the Long Branch waterfront. A destination of choice for society and political figures since the 1860s, Long Branch has recently seen a revival of its popularity and vitality as a year-round haven for relaxation and recreation. This vibrant area is home to shopping and dining, as well as a seaside town center that features lively festivals and nightlife.

Conveniently accessible from New York City and Philadelphia, Pier Village already boasts an atmosphere of luxury and comfort unique for oceanfront living. Completion of the final piece of this City by the Sea will bring additional urban flair and seaside charm to this community.

The Lofts Pier Village will feature one- to four-bedroom residences, with interiors designed by The Childs Dreyfus Group. The thoughtful design will offer a classic yet modern feel intended to maximize space with abundant natural light and open floor plans. Each residence will feature private terraces, hardwood floors, floor-to-ceiling windows, quartz countertops, premium Miele appliances, and in-unit washers and dryers. Two custom kitchen finish packages will offer residents the signature Extell Choice of Sand or Sea finish palettes.

The sand-colored concrete panels and simulated wood façade on the exterior of the buildings, designed by Shore Point Architects, will integrate seamlessly with the existing architecture in the area, the boardwalk and the beachfront.

Outdoor amenities at The Lofts Pier Village will include an expansive pool deck complete with a lap pool, cabanas, and towel service, an outdoor lounge area with fire pits and grills, and a landscaped private park with meandering paths, a playground, and relaxation lawns. An exceptional suite of indoor amenities will include a children’s playroom, screening room, game room, pet washing station, resident’s lounge with catering kitchen for entertaining, and a private state-of-the-art fitness center with a yoga studio and men’s and women’s locker rooms. Preconstruction sales of residences at The Lofts Pier Village are underway and have been strong. The developers expect that the impending start of construction only will increase interest in purchasing among families looking for a seaside escape to call their own.

In addition to the residences, the Pier Village expansion will include a 72-room luxury boutique hotel and a number of new public amenities and improvements for the community to enjoy. A new and expanded public boardwalk will feature a whimsical carousel, a stage for community events, shade structures, public restrooms, and a children’s play area with a mist park. Also included in the plans are additional public parking and new stairways and ramps to provide convenient beach access.

In addition to the existing outdoor ice-skating rink and array of fine dining, retail, and entertainment offerings already drawing visitors to Pier Village, the latest expansion will make this City by the Sea bigger and more vibrant than ever.
