A developer is hailing the opening of a new 52-unit luxury apartment building in downtown Rutherford.

The firm, Vango Development, announced Thursday that it has launched leasing at the boutique rental building known as The Parker. The four-story complex at 106 Park Ave. is offering a new living option in the borough just two blocks from NJ Transit rail service, featuring layouts ranging from studios to two-bedroom units

Monthly rents start at $1,955, Vango said, with immediate occupancy available. The firm has tapped The Marketing Directors as its marketing and leasing agent.

“We were thrilled to have secured such an ideally located property for The Parker, and believe we’ve created a modern and stylish lifestyle experience that is a great addition to the area’s downtown landscape,” said Van Golemis, a principal of Vango Development. “We’re excited to now showcase the property to the public and look forward to welcoming our new residents.”

Vango has debuted the property about 15 months after breaking ground. The developer is seeking to capitalize on both the nearby rail and bus service, which offers a 30-minute commute to Manhattan, as well as Rutherford’s dining, shopping and recreation options.

The Childs Dreyfus Group has designed the on-site amenities and common spaces at The Parker, which include a modern fitness center and a resident lounge/club room with billiards, shuffleboard and large-screen TVs. The pet-friendly, smoke-free community also provides WiFi in common areas, a smart phone and video intercom system and on-site parking and bike storage.

Apartments at The Parker also boast high-end finishes, appliances and interior design.

“The Parker provides a fresh and urban-inspired lifestyle choice for residents who recognize Rutherford’s appeal as a residential destination,” said Jacqueline Urgo, president of The Marketing Directors.
